John Berberian & The Rock East Ensemble "Middle Eastern Rock" 1969 (USA)
Actually, this is a fusion of rock and Armenian music, featuring oud virtuoso John Berberian and noted session guitarist Joe Beck (no relation to Jeff Beck;  Joe's other credits include Miles Davis' "Circle In The Round.")  I bought this LP at a GoodWill for 25 cents (how could I resist with a cheesy cover like that?)  Surprisingly, it turned out to be very good music!
