- When I
first heard this record back in the 1980's, I thought it was absolutely
hilarious -- the singer sounds like an animal being tortured in an echo
chamber, the guitarist is only good at sounding distorted, and the
drummer's sense of timing is, shall we say, unique. But what a
difference a couple of decades makes! Today this record is
considered one of the very first "black metal" releases and a
cornerstone in the development of that subgenre! (I still
think it's hilarious though.)
