We seem to be on a bit of a German/aleatoric/avant-garde vibe with the show lately, so here's a strange but interesting record from the "krautrock" scene.  Basically, Schickert is a guitarist who's totally hung up on his echo box.  Aside from this album, he made another record with a group called GAM and some more CD's of ancient recordings have turned up in the Internet age.  If you dig the Samtvogel sound, Achim Reichel made similar records in the 70's under the handle A.R. & Machines.
I couldn't find any Schickert video, so instead here's four klassik krautrock klips:
First, a Popol Vuh improvisation;  next, here's a ridiculously trippy clip from Dies Irae;  before Ralf Hutter & Florian Schneider founded Kraftwerk they played in a group called Organisation;  and finally, legendary German drummer Mani Neumeier's jazzy-jammy Guru Guru.
