The psychedelic era is littered with short-lived obscure groups that only released a single record before vanishing back into obscurity.  In the internet era, a lot of these obscure recordings have been rediscovered and reissued, though the truth is most obscurities are obscure for a reason and bands that only managed to record a single album usually didn't have enough good material to make their sole album particularly good.  However, the obscure Dragonfly album is a delightful exception to the pattern, for this album is a real gem chock-full of memorable tunes, well played in a hard rocking yet melodic style, and featuring wonderfully dated psychedelicized production techniques (lots of backwards tapes in particular).  Not much is known about the group itself -- they apparently came from Colorado and played a bit around the West coast, and nobody in the group seems to have made any music of note since.
